When I joined Tumblr, I was expecting it to be just another blogging site. I’ve had blogs before, on various different sites. But Tumblr wasn’t at all what I expected. It’s more than just a blog. It’s a world of its own. A land of fantasy and reality colliding and creating an epic euphoria of awesomeness. It’s been more than I had ever thought possible, and it has gotten me through a lot. I am immensely and irrevocably grateful to have found this site.
And the people! By god, the people. Those of you whom I have met through here have been what makes this place truly a godsend (feel free to replace “god” with whatever deity or lack thereof that you prefer). You are what make this place unique, and keep me coming back. The camaraderie and acceptance is something I thought was long gone in our society these days. It has been such a refreshing experience to discover that there are still good people out there. People who appreciate proper spelling and grammar. People who crave learning. People who are passionate beyond belief. People who understand and respect women. People who know what chivalry is. But most importantly, people who CARE.
So thank you. To each and every one of you out there. Thank you, for being you.
Met and hung out with this girl last night. (Pissed we forget to get a pic together, but we were drinking.) She is super awesomesauce with a chocolate swirl of cool. We talked and laughed and drank for a few hours and it was great.
Its awesome when the internet can bring awesome people together, usually in ways they dont expect.
So you should check out her blog, and follow her if you feel so inclined. After only a few hours hanging out, I feel like she is going to be someone I call a friend for a long time.
