Blade, Blue Lantern, Blade, Static Shock
Judging from the mask Im thinking thats Blue Lantern Kyle Rayner.
In fearful day,
In raging night,
With strong hearts full,
Our souls ignite!
When all seems lost in the War of Light,
Look to the stars,
For Hope burns bright!

Lazy Oaf x Batman Collection Channels ’90s Batmania [link]
British creative label Lazy Oaf launched a Batman-inspired apparel collection for both men and women, just in time to celebrate the success of The Dark Knight Rises. Known for their bright, pop culture-infused graphics inspired by fast food and Disney, the East London-based design team’s take on Batman channels the fun, kitschy side of the Dark Knight. From cropped baseball tees to logo-splattered dresses, the Lazy Oaf x Batman collection is actually quite reminiscent of the material we saw in Batmania craze of the early ’90s that followed the popularity of Tim Burton’s first Batman film.
Some of the items are currently sold out, however Lazy Oaf will be restocking the collection within the next couple of weeks. Fortunately, this gives me enough time to scrounge up some of my leftover SDCC pocket change to pick up a few items for myself!
Check out the entire Lazy Oaf x Batman collection on ComicsAlliance!
Let it be known, Saint Walker is my favourite superhero.
But, MAN, does his character suck in heroclix and quite frankly it’s heart wrenching. I don’t even like using him because of his suckiness!
The 95 point version is fair support piece. But not great. But yeah. I wish theyd give the Blue Lanterns some more love.
Artist Highlight: Yildirai Cinar (2012)
Yildirai Cinar is a Turkish artist, one who have incredible talent on his own, as you can see. I’ve chosen to display some of his best work, showcasing his strength as penciler and colorist of his own art, and his love for the DC Universe (He also does Marvel pieces, check his DV account to see some great renditions of Marvel heroes). The reason I chose his DC work was also to point out the main gripe I have with this guy. It’s not about his trace, sense of proportion or the use of his tools, this man make most of these masterpieces with copic markers, watercolors and Bristol paper and that alone amazes me.
But… the moment this guy hands over his art to an inker or colorist his work loses all deepness and detail, suffering a great deal (as you can see here). Is not that it looks bad, it’s looks average at best. Still this is just a very personal judgement. I love Yildirai’s work, and if past posts are proof, you guys love what this man does too. This artist has an attention to detail very few artists have nowadays, and every character he draws achieve his purpose: Batman looks menacing, Superman looks powerful, yet naive and so on. For that reason alone he gets all my praise and admiration.

Raven is a fictional superheroine who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Raven, or Rachel Roth, has been a prominent member of the Teen Titans. Raven is an empath, she can teleport, and send out her Soul-Self—which can fight physically as well as act as Raven’s eyes and ears away from her body.
This version of Raven is from the old comic (1980 series), but I think is the best dress! very elegant and cool. I changed some details, like the hair color. In the comic is black, but in the other series (animation and comics v2 and v3) is violet or dark violet, so I wanted an intermediate hair color.
Another change is the dress color. In the old comic is light blue, but in the modern version is dark blue, so I made the cosplay with dark blue.Submitted by neferet-cosplay
