The 30 Day Dungeons and Dragons Challenge!!

Day 22-Favorite Monster Overall

Hmmm. I like a lot of monsters for a lot of reasons. One of the awesome things about D&D. So much there, so many awesome things. I do like the Elder Elemental Evils, Ogremoch, specifically.

But I also like the Volcanic Dragons from the MM3.

Things That Cost More than ComicCon

lizzymcgill:

Let’s pretend you budget $1000 to go to Comic Con, including good, drinks, lodging, tickets, and other expenses (hookers and masks)

This purse costs almost $3000

want to see the bigger picture? comics and handbags aside, how about the US in this debt crisis, spending $680 billion in 2010 on the military?

LEAH WILLIAMS: The more I think about that reporter the more irate I become. → mymonsterischic.tumblr.com

mymonsterischic:

How dare she imply that we’re wasting our money on comiccon? We spend the other 361 days of the year being misunderstood (and at times even dealing with bullies like her), but for four days in July we have this massive gathering where we are around similar-minded people and seeing parts and pieces of our most beloved obsessions together in the most amazing way. We meet new people and love them immediately. Then, we go back to our lives and resume our normal routine and go back to just being geeks, but it’s a little sweeter because we went to SDCC.

Fuck that bitch.

I had a similar reaction, the more I thought on it, the more it pissed me off. The geeks are somehow responsible for fixing things? We are slacking in our national duty by spending money on a hobby/passion? What about the thousands of people who spend money going to sporting events EVERY DAY during the summer. All over the country there are baseball games where 20,000 people gather to “Escape reality,” each, daily.

Yet somehow we are horrible people.

Fuck her.
